Indy car racing

Sports car racing can offer high speed thrills for the race fan and also stir up some great competition for everyone. This sense of competition has been going on since before there were even cars. Chariot races, horse and buggy races, and even horse races have always drawn lots of competition and left individuals wanting more. Maybe it is that sense of competition that makes individuals of today love car auto racing.

The very first race that was held in the U.S. took place on November 28th, in the year 1895. The race was held in the city of Evanston Illinois and was only a little over 54 miles. The whole race took over ten hours to finish. This was just the start of what evolved into the car racing phenomenon of today. Since the time of the first car auto racing competition, fans have continued to flock to the car race track venues to show their support for their favorite driver and share in the thrill of the race.

While go kart racing may not be up there in the big leagues of car racing, it is definitely a sport where fun and competition exists. Many of the sports car racing drivers that have made it big in the industry today actually began their careers as children in go-kart races. Sports auto racing encompasses a whole array of different types of races and vehicles. Fans can enjoy Nascar style stock car races, Indy car racing, slot car races and even rc car racing. While these are not all of the different types of competitive auto car racing that exists, they are some of the most popular.

Are you a sprint car race fan? Is the Nascar Nextel Cup more your style? You may be able to answer yes to one or maybe even both of these questions. The truth is that each different type of racing has its own fans that love sports car racing. While many different individuals cross over to other types of racing and do not stay with just their favorite, many are die hard fans of only once particular type. Race fans have existed since the very conception of racing and have been showing their forever faithful love for the sport ever since.
